Kelp Artist Featured in San Francisco Magazine

Lina Prairie works out of her studio in Point Reyes Station producing basketry and abstract art entirely from kelp found on the beaches of the North Bay. Last year, Roche+Roche asked her to ply her talents to produce two screens for their office. The result was a pair of beautiful black webs, both architectural and organic.

This month’s San Francisco Magazine article featured some of her designs and a portrait of the artist producing the Roche+Roche screens. You can read the full article here for a better sense of her delightful work.
